Insurance Coordinator

 

Virginia Cancer Institute is seeking self motivated individuals to work with our physicians and patients to insure maximum insurance coverage for the services provided. 

 

The position is responsible for reviewing treatment plans, obtaining authorizations, and verifying insurance benefits and meeting with patients to discuss insurance benefits.  The individual will work directly with our clinical staff and patients to insure correct compliance with current insurance guidelines.

 

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience with medical insurance or strong customer service experience dealing with internal and external customers; have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels; have excellent organizational skills including being detail oriented; demonstrate a reliable work ethic, a positive attitude, a strong desire to achieve and exhibit a willingness to learn.  The candidate must be able to adapt to a growing and changing environment and promote a high standard of quality with a focus on results.
