We are seeking an incredibly talented Insurance Verification Associate to join our centralized billing department in Nashville. The ideal candidate will be uniquely trained to deliver a high level of customer service in a professional setting.Performance Objectives:?Obtain pre-authorizations for all out-patient diagnostic, radiation oncology and medical oncology procedures in an expeditious timeframe.?Ability to remain focused and completes multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.?Respond to facilities regarding their request for pre-authorization within designated timeframe.?Ability to recognize and escalate denied requests to appropriate departments.Good knowledge of medical billing policies, procedures and concepts. Knowledge of computer operator functions. Skill in performing repetitive duties of operating CRT. Ability to follow specific instructions and set procedures to transfer data into computer. Ability to communicate effectively and confidentially on all levels. Basic exposure to ICD-9 and CPT codes. Ability to interpret billing procedure changes and assimilate information to computer entry requirements.
