Intake Coordinator - Dallas, TX

We are currently seeking an Intake/Referral Coordinator for our Utilization Review department in Dallas, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate with external and internal customers via phone, email, fax, etc. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers. Supports management staff by performing data entry, calling medical providers and insurance adjusters to obtain information necessary to process utilization review cases, filing and answering incoming phone calls. You will also work closely with Utilization Management staff and registered nurses regarding case specific information.

 

REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma/GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 coding strongly preferred. Must have excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office programs such as Word and Excel. At least one year experience in the workers compensation arena including utilization review and/or telephonic case management strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, phone etiquette and strong organizational skills are essential. Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize and use resources available and able to multi-task.
