Integration Developer - Information Services

As part of the UPHS Information Services Integration team, the individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of application interfaces, data conversion and integration architecture using SUN eGate 4.5.x and JCAPS 5.X application suite. Participate in Project Management of these interfaces in relation to the Project Management Office. Provide testing and implementation methodologies according to UPHS Project standards. Manage the vendor and internal client relationships as related to Integration of hospital applications. Attend project planning meetings to ensure the requirements of Integration needs are met and addressed. B.S. Computer/Information Science or related field OR equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years experience in eGate development tool and or ICAN / JCAPS preferred OR equivalent experience with similar tools. Minimum 1 year experience in HL7, TCP/IP and FTP Protocols. Experience with complex technical projects. Familiarity with workflow in a healthcare setting, including order entry, appointment scheduling, charge posting, etc. preferred. Working knowledge of Integration development using eGate, ICAN and/or JCAPS or similar Integration software. Demonstrated knowledge of Monk and JAVA programming languages or equivalent languages. Familiar with Healthcare Applications and environments. Experience with Relational Databases preferred. Ability to manage multiple Integration projects and to assist with the implementation planning. Demonstrated experience in Program Development Life Cycle Methodologies. Strong written and communication skills. Previous experience in application/data integration and methodology experience using specifications for healthcare interfaces, messaging standards HL7 and knowledge of healthcare clinical environments/setting sis preferred. Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare and financial environment preferred.
