Interface Analyst -- EPIC

Responsibilities will include overall monitoring and maintenance of interfaces between EpicCare Ambulatory EMR and other UPHS patient information systems, maintaining interface documentation, assisting in new project development, and leading small to medium projects. Minimum Degree Requirements and Experience Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience. - 2 years experience of relational database concepts, database management, application/data integration and methodology. - 1-2 years experience with HL7 interfaces; in addition knowledge of CACHE (MUMPS) databases preferred. - 1-2 years experience supporting EpicCare preferred, or 2 – 3 years experience supporting other Clinical Information System. Skill Requirements: - Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare and financial environment are preferred. - Detail oriented, strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills required. - Ability to analyze, diagnose, suggest and implement process modifications. - Ability to interact with all levels of hospital personnel to include: IT management staff, consulting staff, clinicians, hospital administrators, etc. - Familiarity with health care practices in an outpatient setting is desired. - Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients of healthcare clinical environments/settings is preferred.
