Intra-operative Monitor TechnologistWorking closely with the Neurophysiology Supervisor and IOM Team Leader you will perform all aspects of Neurodiagnostic testing Procedures. They include Intra-operative room monitoring to assess the functional integrity of the peripheral and/or central nervous system during vascular, orthopedic, and neurosurgical operative procedures on patients of varying ages and medical conditions, in accordance with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society standards of practice.   You will work independently, utilizing a variety of sophisticated instruments, demonstrating good judgment and decision-making in the performance of clinical neurophysiologic procedures. Responsibilities include hook-ups and daily maintenance of electrodes; daily archiving of patient data; data preparation for physician review; equipment maintenance; supply inventory and acquisition, and preparation of patient data.   Qualifications: • Graduate of an electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education or equivalent. • Registration in electroencephalography and/or evoked potentials, or CNIM. • Knowledge of neuro anatomy and physiology, electronics and electrical safety, knowledge of EEG/EP/EMG instrumentation, pattern recognition and various medical pharmacological conditions that influence an EEG and/or EP during surgery. • Registration by ABRET in EEG, EP, or CNIM. • 5-10 years of experience in EEG, EP, & IOM. • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with the surgical team of surgeons, anesthesiologists/neurologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team are essential.
