Java Application Team Lead

Location: Chicago, ILEducation Required: Not IndicatedExperience Required: Not IndicatedPosition Description:BASIC FUNCTION:This position is responsible for requirements analysis, detailing technical design, and developing applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. The person should have hands on experience in J2EE / Web Services application with deep expertise on B2B type of complex web systems, its architecture, integration, operation and maintenance. Experience required in design / development and in using RUP or any similar (agile / iterative) methodology / approach. This position requires experience in optimizing existing solution and help fine tune the merger of application code for best performance. Ability to rapidly understand the complexity of the current architecture, performance limitations in the current infrastructure and able to communicate & interface with architecture and development teams. Hands on development experience with ability to mentor and guide experienced team members on complex solutions using advance techniques like multi threading, caching and other performance improvement strategy. Expertise on authentication, authorization, access control, digital certificates, activity analysis, and cryptography would be added benefit. Ability to communicate clearly with management and provide updates as needed.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree with 3 years experience OR Technical Certification or College Courses with 4 years experience OR 5 year’s experience. 5 years experience designing and developing very complex applications in third and fourth generation languages/platforms using the SDLC methodology OR 6 year’s experience. 4 years of experience in the following environments: Java, J2EE, Web Services & SOA, Websphere, Hibernate, Struts, DB2, RAD. Verbal and written communication skills. Analytical skills. PC proficiency to include Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Word. PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1) Java, J2EE, Web Services & SOA, Websphere, Hibernate, Struts, DB2, RAD. 2) Knowledge of Crystal Reports or other end user reporting tools/platforms. 3) ILOG or any other business rules experience a plus, but not required..
