MedRisk Inc. is searching for a Java Developer with a compilation of strong technical skills.  This individual will be responsible for the development and designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex database applications using MS SQL Server, Visual Basic, VB.NET, and MS Access 2003.  The candidate must be able to work the full life-cycle of a software development project.  This individual must have at least 5 years of JAVA development experience, writing software products and/or services.  Work within the Healthcare industry and Workers Compensation experience is a plus.

Its customers include insurance carriers, self-insured employers, third-party administrators, and general managed care workers’ compensation companies.

 Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering degreeMinimum of five years of JAVA developer experienceWorking knowledge in the software engineering development process and project life cycle 1+ years development experienceGood communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams Good documentation skills in order to create document, track and plan sustaining software engineering work Excellent team spirit T-SQL, Visual Basic 6, VB .NET, MS Access 2003, MS SQLAbility to multitask Experience programming HealthCare applications a plus

 

MedRisk offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience and benefits programs including medical, dental, life and 401k.  This is a full time position for local candidates only.  Contract related work will not be accepted.  Candidates must be able to provide references and/or samples of work.
