LAB SUPERVISOR/MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY (Critical Need)

  

LAB SUPERVISOR/MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY  Boston, MA Day Shift.

 

Our client a hospital in the greater Boston area with a tradition of community service and affiliated with leading medical schools and Massachusetts teaching hospitals has asked that we search for a LAB SUPERVISOR/MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY.

 

The Laboratory Supervisor provides overall management of activities and resources for the facilities clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include: Assuring quality, cost-effective diagnostic services are provided in a timely manner,serving as an operations manager for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, controlling and coordinating the clinical laboratory.

 

While supervising up to ten to twelve Medical Technologists and lab professionals this individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations for the designated shift. The following procedures are performed in the laboratory section, including Chemistry, Diagnostic Immunology, Hematology or Toxicology. 


Requirements:

 

BS in Medical Technology or equivalent

MS or Advanced academics in Medical Technology or related field preferred 

3-5 years Supervisory Experience 

Medical Technologist Certification: MT (ASCP) American Society of Clinical Pathologists

SSB (ASCP) - Specialist in Blood Banking a plus
