With the only nationwide veterinary laboratory network serving all 50 states, we provide diagnostic testing for an estimated 15,000 clients, which include standard animal hospitals, large animal practices, universities, and other government organizations. Our diagnostic spectrum includes over 300 different tests in the areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology, as well as tests specific to particular diseases. We do not conduct experiments on animals.

GENERAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

 

Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform testing for CBCs, Chemistry panels, Urinalysis, CoagulationOperate and maintain laboratory equipmentMonitor and reconcile pending listsParticipate in departmental training programsSpecimen processingPrepare specimens for shipmentMaintain various QA and QC records

 

Qualifications:Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or Veterinary Technician with good general laboratory testing skills including hematology, urinalysis, and chemistryBS degree or equivalent experienceMinimum one year of clinical lab experience in a laboratory or veterinary clinicGood microscopy background, ability to perform high volume manual differentials and microscopic urinalysisGood computer backgroundHistory of excellent attendance


Shift:Full-time: Monday – Friday, Day shift
