General Responsibilities:
GBVHC has an immediate full time opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to work within our Primary Care and/or Urgent Care department in Worcester, MA. The LPN will be responsible for the following duties: Collaborate with the medical providers in the delivery of medical care for patients of all ages. Perform a variety of clinical tasks based on clinical knowledge and experience. Work with medical providers to obtain histories and provide direct patient care. Assesses patient individual basic health status. Provide patient education. Provide phone triage. Implement infection control procedures. Arrange for interpretation as necessary. Process patients properly according to purpose of visit.
Job Qualifications:
MA License Practice Nurse required. Strong handwriting skills required. Basic Computer Skills require, proficiency preferred. Must demonstrate strong communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Previous nursing experience with emphasis on community nursing health education and urgent care preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
