If your passion is IT, you can take your experience to the next level in a company that is financially strong and nationally respected.  We invite you to join us as a Lead Configuration Test Environment Analyst at our Washington, DC location. The Lead Configuration Test Environment Analyst will coordinate, schedule and monitor all project activities related to test environments in support of project teams’ initiatives and needs. Responsibilities: Work with project teams to complete CareFirst Test Environment Application Form which identifies/defines file structure, machine language, test data and communication tools, as well as work to complete CareFirst Test Environment Strategy which determines feasibility of implementing, making modifications to, or providing alterative solutions to test environments Provide expertise in platforms, environments, tools and data for corporate test environments Coordinates cross-functional problem resolution activities, intra/inter-project test environment dependencies, schedules and timelines of project phases and technical testing plan Work with Systems and Application Architecture to anticipate and plan future test environment configuration changes, coordinate technical and architectural support requirements and coordinate the releases, patches and emergency fixes of existing software and custom development into test environments Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years related IT experience. Demonstrated project management skills and experience in system architecture design required Proficiency in project documentation and MS Office tool suite Knowledge of mainframe, mid-range and client-servers environments; health insurance and technical writing background, and knowledge of CareFirst mission critical applications preferred Individuals must demonstrate initiative; work well independently and as a contributing member of a team; and demonstrate strong communication, written and presentation skills. This position requires the candidate to be “on call” for emergency situations requiring immediate response.
