Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner III

The Respiratory Care Practitioner administers respiratory therapy treatments, medications, and life support neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric ages. The practice of respiratory care shall include the process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, education, communication, and facilitating an environment conducive to meeting the needs of both the patient and family. S/he adheres to Respiratory Guidelines of Care, Guidelines of Practice and the policy/procedures of Flagstaff Medical Center. S/he represents the department in the absence of the Director. S/he is directly accountable to the Unit Director/Clinical Coordinator. Graduate of an AARC approved respiratory therapy program preferred. Assumes responsibility for 2 annual RT Dept improvement projects as assigned, with quarterly reports to the Clinical Coordinator or department staff. Must be able to act as the Shift Lead Therapist when required.

NBRC, CRT or RRT
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners - required.
Vent management/advanced therapy ICU, PICU, SCN, CVICU, ED
Certified or Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care or by the Canadian National Board - required
CPR (Healthcare Provider) - required upon hire.
ACLS/PALS/NRP - required.
