Licensed Practical Nurse,Family Practice

Description:Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or team leader, provides general nursing care to patients. Attends to the general healthcare and comfort of the patient. Observes and records treatment and patient progress and reports to supervisor patient's condition or reaction. Administers prescribed medications. Must be licensed or hold a temporary permit to practice.1. Prepares patient to be seen by provider by taking vitals (height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, etc.).2. Assists provider with patient exams, minor surgeries, lab draws, administering medications and injections.3. Communication between provider and patient regarding reason for visit, symptoms, etc. Update documentation in medical chart.4. Contact patients with lab results, follow-up appointments and referrals.5. Clean, disinfect and autoclave instruments. Clean and organize exam room, maintaining adequate supplies.6.
