Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN

 

DePelchin Children's Center (DCC) is, a United Way agency, one of the oldest not-for-profit organizations servicing the Houston community for over 100 years.  DCC  provides a broad-based program of services to children and families in Harris, Ft. Bend, Montgomery, and Waller counties.  Programs are designed primarily to meet the needs of individuals and families in crisis requiring such services as parent education, adoption, emergency shelter, foster care, and counseling.

 

The Residential Treatment Center has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN. The LVN will work day shift and travel between both residential treatment facilities located in Houston and Richmond, TX.  Must have minimum one (1) year psychiatric nursing experience working with troubled children and adolescents. Must have CPR, Behavior Management, Seclusion and Restraint training. Requires a valid Texas driver's license, clear driving record and proof of personal auto liability insurance. This individual will be responsible for the following:Initial intake screening, TB Skins, Auditing, Transcribing, Patient Education, etc.Coordinates resident assessments and plan evaluations when appropriate. Coordinates and performs needed treatments, medications or other nursing interventions as indicated by the client plan of care. Ensures all needed emergency measures are followed as per facility policy.
