Lost Time Adjuster - SFL

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305 Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Re-post. Current applicants do not need to reapply.Job duties include but are not limited to the following: * Responsible for the timely investigation of compensability and payment of Florida Workers’ Compensation claims. * Adjust lost time Workers’ Compensation claims in accordance with Florida Statutes 440 and supporting rules. * High level, frequent customer contact to include internal and external customer service and coordination of claim with a nurse case manager. * Moderate to heavy keying requiredJob Requirements: * Four to six years experience handling lost time files and Special Disability Trust Fund (SDTF) and subrogation required. * Requires a 5-24 (Workers’ Compensation adjuster) license or a 5-20 (all lines) license, or equivalent proof of continuing education credits. * Workers’ Compensation claims management experience required. * Knowledge of Florida Workers’ Compensation Statutes and Division of Workers’ Compensation rules, and experience in the application of the law and rules is required. * Experience in litigation management to include live attendance at mediations, depositions and hearings is required. * Occasional travel required. * Excellent oral and written communication skills required. * Excellent coordination skills, analytical skills and problem-solving skills required. * Requires effective interpersonal skills and have proven experience working in a team environment. * Excellent public relations and presentation skill * Intermediate to advanced PC skills in windows based environment (Word/Excel and Workers’ Compensation database system (Pyramid). * Bi-lingual (Spanish-English)/(Creole-English) a plus. Business Specific Criteria (Preferred Skills): * Workers’ Compensation board certification preferred. If board eligible, must sit for all exams offered.
