The primary purpose of this position is to process CHW accounts timely and accurately. Qualifications and Responsibilities High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred. One (1) to three (3) years experience and thorough working knowledge of insurance carrier's billing regulations and requirements. Must also have a thorough and detailed knowledge of collection laws and third party payer claims processing to ensure compliance with state and federal laws regarding all billing and collection processes. Knowledge of UB92 forms and filing requirements required. Exhibits an understanding of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 coding regulations and guidelines Working knowledge of current patient accounting and claims editing applications in a healthcare environment. Perform rebilling functions as appropriate and function as a subject matter expert in assisting Customer Service and other team members.
