Medical Collector

 

Job Description:

Large multi-site private oncology practice in the Memorial City area is seeking an experienced collector.

 

Requirements:

 

·  Minimum 5 year collections experience

·  2nd & 3rd level appeals

·  ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers “25” and “59”.

·  Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations,

·  Managed care, HMO, PPO, IPA’s, and TPA’s.

·  Computer literacy

o Create spreadsheets, manipulate data and use basic formulas

o Word and outlook

o Internet search

·  Creative, analytical, dependable and have the ability to work in a team environment

 

 

Responsibilities

 Interact with various departments on a daily basis Working AR aging report daily Auditing accounts Dealing with Contract discrepancies Appeals Refunds
