MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - MICROBIOLOGY (critical need)

 

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - MICROBIOLOGY  Day Shift.

 

Our client a medical laboratory in a hospital in the greater Boston area has asked that we search for a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST with solid Microbiology skills. This hospitals mission is to improve the health of the people and communities they serve and to manage illness with skill and compassion.

 

This medical laboratory is a wonderful place to work, with a friendly atmosphere and structured environment. The Medical Technologist will perform all aspects of Analysis in Microbiology sections of the laboratory including but not limited to Bacteriology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology & Parasitology. Works under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor and carries out a variety of laboratory procedures. Performs chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic and other moderately and highly complex testing. Maintains laboratory equipment and assists other lab personnel as needed and assigned.  Demonstrates professional work habits and interpersonal skills. Participates in performance improvement activities, evaluation of new test methodologies/instrumentation, and management of laboratory data

 

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in medical technology or related science required or Bachelor degree and certification in subspecialty
MT (ASCP) M (ASCP) or CLS (NCA), is a plus BB(ASCP)

2-3 years of Microbiology experience strongly preferred
