MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST (critical need) Ashland,MA

 

Night Shift

 

Our client a hospital laboratory in the Ashland area whose mission is to advocate, care, teach and serve has asked that we search for a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST.

 

The Medical Technologist as part of the Pathology Department will collect blood, performs test, inputs patient information and test results into computer, performs computer functions as needed and assist in other duties as directed by laboratory supervisor/manager. The Medical Technologist as a generalist will function and should be proficient in one or more of the following disciplines: Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Immunohematology (Blood Bank).

The successful candidate will possess the skills, knowledge and experience in the procurement and processing of clinical laboratory specimens, technical expertise in the performance of laboratory testing and result reporting, knowledge of CAP regulations as the apply to test performance would be a plus, quality control, instrument maintenance, ability to interpret variables, experience in application of qualifying measures

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree preferred in Medical Technology

Certification as MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA) or equivalent

Blood Bank experience or SSB (ASCP) preferred

Chemistry experience a plus

Prefer one year of experience in one of the Laboratory Sciences

Strong analytic, research, and interpersonal skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Team Player
