Our client a hospital laboratory in the Bedford area has expanded their laboratory sciences area they have asked that we search for outstanding MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS. This clients mission is to create an environment in which qualified physicians and other health care personnel can work together to provide high quality health care service.

 

The Medical Technologist works within the scope of laboratory policies and procedures to provide specimen processing, test performance and result reporting. The Medical Technologist performs test procedures authorized by the medical laboratory director; with the degree of skill commensurate with individual education, training, experience and technical abilities. This individual insures that all laboratory testing is performed according to established protocols or procedures. Follows all safety practices and maintains ongoing competency to ensure high quality testing services. Under the direction of the laboratory manager the medical technologists will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, quality control procedures and communication with physicians, nurses and patients

REQUIREMENTS

 

Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field

Must be board eligible by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) or American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and complete board certification within one year of employment.
One to three years of related or progressively more responsible experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology and microbiology.
License, Certification, Registration: Certification as Medical Technologist by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment.
