Location: Jamaica - Queens

Hours: M-F; 9-5

Provide casework services for the population of the center to which assigned.

' Identify the need for, and carries out, group-work services to patients.

' Evaluate and recommend need for changes in Social Work program within the Center.

' Assist with in service education of Social Work and center personnel.

' Function as member of the interdisciplinary center team.

' Act as a consultant to center staff and community agencies.

' Coordinate social work activity with other center disciplines.

' Act as a liaison with hospitals and other agencies in the community.

' Prepare reports, participates in special studies, and conducts meetings and conferences at the center.

' Participate in Social Work staff meetings and contributes to planning for the Social Work Program.

' Conduct PCAP/Title X subject related classes to patients at designated centers and community based organization.

' Perform other related activities as shall be deemed appropriate in assuring patients total care.

Requirements:

1. Graduation from an accredited school of social work, as evidenced by a Master's degree.

2. Two years of full time paid satisfactory experience in social work, as follows: Two years of casework experience in a health, medical or psychiatric care agency adhering to acceptable standards.

3. Fluency in Spanish (Must be able to read, speak and write).
