Mammography Technician (Part-Time)

Advocate Health Centers is currently seeking a part-time (day/pm) Mammography Technician. The Tech will perform screening mammography procedures for health care providers. Accountabilities: Determination of appropriates Mammography technique and position for patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film Quality. Operation of advanced and sophisticated mammography/radiographic equipment. Maintenance of supplies needed to ensure adequate levels within the department. Delivery of patient care in accordance with department standards of. Continued quality improvement and department standards. Insurance of a secure and safe patient/work environment by maintaining a continued awareness of safety hazards. Participation in professional development by attending in services and continuing education programs appropriate to the goals and needs of the department. Participation in problem solving issues relating to department operations and interdepartmental relationships. Qualifications: Knowledge of Health Information System. Ability to anticipate patient, employee and department needs and refer for action. Good communication skills. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology. 3 years of radiography required ****mammography experience preferred**** Licensed Radiographic Technology by the IDNS. CPR certification. ARRT registered in radiography and mammography. ***Bilingual preferred***          ***Hours are Mondays and Thursdays 10:00am - 7:00pm and every other Saturday from 8:00am - 1:00pm***Advocate Health Centers are community-based medical practices that provide a full range of primary care, specialty care, and support services.
