Senior Manager - IT (Cerner PathNet)
This position is responsible for managing the day to day operation of programming group within the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) team.  Via collaboration with the Director, management team and staff of the LIS team, the incumbent ensures alignment of the development team activities and resources with (1) the developmental goals and objectives of Clinical Labs, and (2) Enterprise goals of the Health Technology Solution Group. Manage resources to address the operational department needs in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and College of American Pathologists (CAP). 

Working in the Clinical Laboratories, this individual will oversee IT support for the clinical lab applications and operations.

Manage the day to day operation of the PathNet system and all associated systems (Automation, Interfaces, and Point of Care).  This includes, but is not limited to, addressing customer questions via the helpdesk, monitoring interfaces and error handling, and updating documentation for employees and users.

Work with other departments to achieve maximum system availability to the end user.

Co-develop a business continuity plan for the Clinical Laboratories IT needs

Senior Analyst - Cerner PathNet
Serve as technical resource for complex / major efforts regarding the implementation, design, development, and testing of system application components.

Participate in the development and maintenance of HL7 interface specifications for connectivity between the PathNet / LIS and downstream supporting applications.

Provide patient care support to the health system through the administration of the Cerner PathNet environment.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, application table maintenance, coordinating interface testing / changes with other applications systems, and overseeing application functionality in all environments,

Design and write complex programs using Cerner Command Language (CCL) to extract data from the LIS to import into other data management systems, aid in project management, problem solving, or to provide tools for customer processes.  Also serve as a consultant to departmental programmers when needed for advanced program development and testing.

Create and maintain documentation for the administration of the Cerner PathNet environment and correlating health system interfaces for use within the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and for distribution via the LIS Policy and Procedure Manual and/or User’s Reference Guide.

Work with the manager to ensure all project elements are completed within specified timeline.

Analyst - Cerner PathNet / CCL

Manager position requires experience 5-7 years in a Clinical Lab environement.
