Primary Responsibilities: · Develop and implement effective strategic and tactical internal communications plans for this division and align them with OptumHealth’s overall communications efforts.· Manage the process of gathering content, writing, editing and securing approval for internal communications for this division, including large-group employee e-mail, intranet postings and all-employee meeting presentations. · Collaborate with Sr. Director of Communications to ensure messages are aligned with other areas within OptumHealth.· Coordinate and manage divisional all-employee meetings.· Work with the division’s CEO, COO, CFO, and other executives, as well as its corresponding marketing, sales, customer/client support, human resources and other departments to:o generate fresh communicationso help distribute existing communicationso make sure messages are in alignment with other areas within this divisiono ensure information is accurate and timely· Listen to leaders and employees (1:1s, focus groups, surveys) within this division and use what you hear to improve internal communications both here and throughout OptumHealth.· Help distribute UnitedHealth Group internal communications (i.e. benefits open enrollment, employee giving, significant public news, employee surveys, reviews and talent management) within this division as needed.· Help distribute OptumHealth internal communications (i.e. major product, organizational or leadership messages) within this division by:o as often as possible, finding examples of how such communications affect, or are important to, the division’s employees; and o when applicable, understanding and then leveraging the best way to cascade messages from the CEO to his or her direct reports, and from there to the next levels including the individual employee.· Manage this division’s home page on the company’s intranet. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism or related field required. Three to five years of combined experience in communications, management and coordination within the health care marketing industry Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
