Manager, Contracting & Value Analysis, West Bay Distribution Center

As part of the Sutter Health family, the West Bay Service Center supports the combined contracting and value analysis needs of several affiliated medical campuses.This position is responsible for the successful identification, execution and management of contracting and savings initiatives for goods and services.  This position will facilitate a committee-based structure where decisions are based on consensus.  The primary responsibilities of the Manager are to provide strategic value analysis, sourcing, and contracting expertise/direction to leverage the buying power of the affiliates represented in the West Bay Region.  Additional responsibilities will include negotiating local and regional contracts, data analysis, and assessment of savings options. The position requires significant interface with various levels of clinicians and management at the medical facilities.  The Manager will also have interaction with numerous employees at the West Bay Distribution center and is an integral part of the West Bay Sourcing and Procurement Team.  Bachelor degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or other related discipline.  MBA preferred. Minimum of 8 years strategic sourcing and contracting expertise; strong market analysis skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Mminimum of three years experience in research, data mining, analysis and reporting.  Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary team as a group leader, facilitator or participant.  Strong understanding of health care services, operations and finance. Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Internet and database searches.  Knowledge of Visio and Lawson Software preferred.
