Job Title: DBA Support Manager

Description:

This role will be responsible for the performance, security and maintenance of Broadlane’s enterprise databases and data warehouse within Broadlane’s operating environment.  This is a hands-on position that requires a lead by example personality and will oversee 3-4 DBA’s and Broadlane’s standards for developing, maintaining, and releasing database changes.  This position will analyze current business practices, processes and procedures, and identify future business process opportunities. This position will lead and mentor the company’s support DBA’s and assist in problem resolution, proactive maintenance and continuative improvements.  Other responsibilities include:

• Responsible for Broadlane’s overall database maintenance plans
• Overseeing the security and performance of database and warehouse systems
• Manages production support and data warehouse database groups
• Performing critical tasks that require senior DBA skills (Hands on position)
• Responsible for Broadlane’s overall database capacity planning as it relates to Broadlane’s applications and systems
• Develop corporate and/or organizational database policies and authorizes their implementation
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of database architectures
• Works with development groups to establish DBA development & release standards
• Design and implement strategies for improving the corporate data infrastructure
• Monitor data management and data architecture technology advancements and industry best practices
• Standardize the documentation process for development, support and data warehouse activities

Job Requirements:

• Experience with architecture and implementation of n-tier enterprise-class applications

• Experience developing large enterprise database solutions

• 10 - 15 years of experience as database administrator and database developer
• Extensive experience with the following:

-  databases replication

-  clustering

-  systems analysis

-  data architecture

• Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server, DTS, OLAP, Analysis Services
• Advanced programming skills in database related languages required (SQL, PL/SQL, VB, ETL)

• Advanced data warehouse concepts

• Programming ability with C #, VB, or Java (able to interact with developers at code level)
• Management experience leading and supervising teams of highly technical people
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
