Job Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Medical/Health Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Mission and Contribution of this position: Description The Manager - ICU has twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for intensive care services at the SLSLH. The Manager - ICU utilizes knowledge derived from biological, physical, and social sciences to manage the delivery of patient care. Major responsibilities include: • Clinical Management: Ensures the effective and safe delivery of quality nursing care. • Performance Improvement Research: Ensures compliance with established community standards and regulatory bodies. • Human Resources/Financial Management: Works to maintain an fiscally responsible department including efficient use of staff and resources. • Communication/Patient-Guest Relations: Provides a caring environment in support of St. Luke's Mission and Values. Proactively strives and supports excellence in customer satisfaction. • Professional Practice/Professional Development: Assumes a leadership role in development of a professional practice; empowers staff nurses in clinical decision-making. • Productivity: Monitors patient flow and staffing efficiencies. • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.Minimum Qualifications: Education: 4 year degree, MA/MBA preferred Licensure: Registered Nurse / RN with current Texas license Work Experience: Minimum of five years of clinical experience and three years charge experience; three years supervisory experience desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft office products.
