Salary Range- 23.90- $34.00 per hour sign-on and relo allowance.Lab Manager-- Responsible for managing all functions of an acute care hospital's Clinical Laboratory. Coordinates activities of the technical and non-technical laboratory staff and allocates available resources to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations. Works closely with the System Director of Laboratory Services, Laboratory Medical Director and laboratory leadership team in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures. Coordinates laboratory performance improvement activities for the facility. Promotes excellent customer service and ensures laboratory services are delivered in accordance with quality and financial standards. Ensures laboratory services are delivered in compliance with regulatory requirements and LMHS policies and procedures. Participates in system leadership functions and collaborates with other leaders within their facility as a representative of the Clinical Laboratory.^ Approximately 40 FTEs LMH is a trauma center and has obtained Joint Commission certification for stroke patients. LMH has a large orthopedic unit, neuroscience, cancer center, and other routine medical and surgical services. It also houses an inpatient Rehabilitation Center. The manager will have responsibility for the Outpatient Draw Station housed within LMH. Routine Microbiology testing is not performed at LMH; this testing is referred to CCH.The laboratory has a number of initiatives in progress ' Standardization of equipment and procedures with other 4 hospital laboratories, process improvement initiative in Specimen Receiving area, implementation of rapid molecular testing for MRSA, changing reference laboratory and development of computer interface for new lab.Seeking a manager with a minimum of 3 years experience as a manager in a hospital setting. Ability to promote teamwork and facilitate change within the department. The manager needs to be accessible to the staff on a daily basis. Must be an excellent communicator, communicating with staff, hospital departments and laboratory leadership on a daily basis.Hospital experience is a requirement.^ JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: B.S. or B.A. degree required Experience: Minimum of three years supervisory experience required. Training:       License: State of Florida Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Supervisor Other: Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates and promotes teamwork, cooperation and excellent customer services skills. Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems. 3 to 5 years experience as laboratory manager. RESPOND HERE!
