Job Description:
The Manager of Quality and Performance Improvement is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of all quality management activities for the US Family Health Plan. In addition, the Quality Manager, will also provide consultative assistance to the Clinical Practice Managers of St. Elizabeth's Health Care for the quality programs and regulatory requirements (JCAHO/DPH) of the health centers of St. Elizabeth's Health Care. As the senior quality leader for the department, the position provides stewardship for quality projects chartered for the department.
The position assures that the US Family Health Plan meets the health plan accreditation requirements of the contract with the Department of Defense. The position assures that the health plan is in compliance with other external regulatory oversight agencies and the clinical and administrative quality requirements of the Department of Defense contract. The position is charged with developing an annual quality plan and managing a process of identifying quality issues and performance improvement activities through quantitative data collection, compilation and analysis of information. The position tracks and analyzes trends for management action and manages the preparation of reports necessary to meet plan management, regulatory, and contract requirements. The Manager, Quality Management leads the preventive health task force and develops population health and disease management programs with the Medical Director for the US Family Health Plan.



Qualifications:
RN or MPH with at least two years quality management experience in a managed health plan environment. Professional certification in Health Care Quality preferred. Thorough clinical knowledge of population health and managed care required.
