Manager Surgical Services

The Manager is accountable for the overall management and leadership of a unit or a group of patient care units within Nursing Services. Responsible for all clinical and operational activities of the units in accordance with Swedish Medical Center mission, vision, and value. Opportunities are available for Pre/Post Support and Same Day Surgery management. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington is required with a current BLS / ACLS certification (PPACU only). First-line management experience is essential in this role. Must have at least three years clinical experience with demonstrated knowledge in specific clinical specialty and leadership qualities. The ability to plan and modify clinical services based on the age, growth and developmental stage of the patient is necessary to qualify. Skill set should include the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
