Manager, Training and Conferences The manager of training and conferences, under the senior director of business development and the chief medical officer, is responsible for the successful design, implementation, and administration of recovery initiatives throughout Community Care.  These responsibilities are an integral part of the company goal of delivering high quality, cost effective services to Community Care members and families that includes collaboration with members, families, providers, counties and other stakeholders to work toward the transformation of the behavioral health system and the inclusion of recovery oriented principles and practices. It includes identifying challenges, barriers and opportunities for system change and the development of evaluation and quality assurance measures.  This position develops, coordinates, and implement all aspects of the Community Care recovery initiatives with members, families, providers, Community Care staff, state and federal agencies, community groups and other parties in collaboration with appropriate Community Care management and front line staff.  This position also attends training, technical assistance, and educational sessions with the goal of keeping the organization informed of new information as it affects daily operations and mission. A master' degree in a social service or related field with specific knowledge of recovery principles and practices along with five years experience in a social service setting is required.  Experience in public sector care delivery and managed care is preferred.  General knowledge of best practices in behavioral health, emphasizing work with special needs populations and in public sector systems is also required.  Candidates must possess sensitivity to ethnic and cultural diversity.  Excellent oral and written communication and report-writing skills along with strong planning and coordination abilities are required.  Attention:  CS Apply at www.upmc.com by following these steps; click Careers at UPMC, Start My Job Search, and follow the link to continue to search and apply for openings.
