As the Manager of Central Intake with Gentiva, you will:
•Manage market-wide intake functions to ensure that the Intake Team responds to all incoming telephone calls from referral sources or potential clients promptly. Provide information and determine the organization’s ability to provide requested services, and identify alternative community or competitor services to the caller when Gentiva Health Services solutions are not available.
•Ensure that the intake team notifies referral sources of case acceptance and the frequency of visits with case managers as needed.
•Responsible for developing close working relationships with branch management and staff in service area and maintain superior customer service to our branches and referral sources.
•Participate and interact with Branch Directors, Area Vice Presidents, and appropriate management staff on a regular basis as part of the management team.
•Keep abreast of new technological developments and provide technical support or guidance to staff. Evaluate the impact of these developments and make recommendations to the AVP as needed.
•Monitor performance standards within the department utilizing established metrics. Assess compliance with accepted Gentiva Health Services standards and respond to variances as needed using performance management guidelines.
•Ensure that the team obtains and thoroughly/accurately verifies sources of payment for services, and document or transfer financial data to appropriate market personnel.
•Monitor conversion ratios by reviewing referrals not taken for service and admit reports and inform market manager on findings as requested.
Qualifications
•Associate’s Degree in Nursing or the equivalent plus
•A minimum of five years nursing experience in a healthcare delivery or managed care environment
•Two years in a managerial role generally required
•RN licensure in the state(s) of desired practice
•Broad knowledge of governmental home health agency regulations
•Proficiency in computer operations such as database entry, Internet access, standard office software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office)
•Thorough knowledge of ACD reporting systems/telecommunications technologies
•Excellent organization, decision-making, communications, and presentations skills
