Who are we?

Founded in 1947 and headquartered just north of Chicago, the CAP is an established organization dedicated to improving patient care through advocacy, education and laboratory quality assurance. The CAP is the second largest medical association in the US (measured by revenues), the largest medical association exclusively supporting the specialty of pathology and the leading provider of clinical and anatomic pathology proficiency testing and laboratory accreditation serving the majority of hospitals, private laboratories and pathology practices in the United States.

The Position:

The Manager of Operation Services will be responsible to plan, execute, manage and support the development and implementation of the College’s Operational systems. You will be responsible for Data Center Services, Hardware/OS Services, Storage Management Services, Server Management, Data Network Services and Security. Includes both support and project management. Participates in infrastructure strategy, architecture planning, and future direction.

What We Require:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/business or proven equivalent work experience is required. Must have a minimum ten years experience in Information Services. Should have a minimum three years in supervisory capacity. Must have strong Project Management skills. Project Management certification desirable. Should have Implementation experience with Virtualization/VMWare. Should have implementation experience in developing and implementing Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Process, including planning, communication and execution at all levels. Must have strong communication, planning, process and facilitation skills. Must lead by example. Effectively lead efforts in team structures.
