Join us today for an inspired and purposeful mix of professional growth opportunities and personal rewards.The purpose of this position is to support the head of UnitedHealthcare's Market Strategy area and the team in the development, implementation, modification, and execution of a UnitedHealthcare product and program launches to product revenue, profit, and performance goals through product management. Conducts fundamental marketing research, which may involve analysis of market conditions, product sales trends, customer preferences and sales operations of competitors. Job Description: This position will support UnitedHealthcare’s Marketing and Product departments by managing research to identify new market and product opportunities. The candidate will lead qualitative and quantitative research projects, transforming data into purposeful information —i.e. information that is understandable, accurate, relevant and actionable. This position will actively consult with internal clients to ensure that research initiatives and activities are aligned with broader market, product development and overall business objectives. Primary Responsibilities: Project management of entire research process. Selection of appropriate research methodologies. Survey development. Focus group scripting and interview guide development. Analysis of data using standard statistical tools. Report development and presentation of research results. Interpretation and communication of research findings to non-technical audiences. Management of research vendor relations. The position will receive guidance from the Vice President of Market Intelligence and the Market Research Team Lead, but will be largely responsible for operating independently as a member of the research team.Qualifications: Education: BA/BS degree required ideally in marketing, research, business or related field Masters degree a plus Experience: 4+ years of market research experience, preferably in the healthcare industry Proven experience in developing and managing market research projects to support key company initiatives Customer-facing experience Working knowledge of statistical software, preferably SPSS Strong knowledge of primary and secondary research methodologies Strong consulting skills: Ability to anticipate research needs and make recommendations Expert in defining internal client requirements and using appropriate research methodologies to deliver information that drives results Analytical thinker: Ability to interpret research and draw meaningful conclusions that benefit constituents Capable of managing a variety of complex issues while driving momentum of key projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity, effectively coping with change, as well as comfortably handling risk and uncertainty.
