JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 



The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for project managing the creative development of effective member focused, physician focused, and marketing campaign collateral for L.A. Care. This includes responsibility for writing, editing, and creative development; collaborating with internal and external clients; working with graphics design for layout; and coordinating production/fulfillment. This is a high visibility position on an award winning Communications & Marketing team, with tremendous opportunity to develop campaigns, interesting collateral, and professional relationships. Background in marketing, excellent writing skills, and superior organizational skills are a must. Background in health care and developing collateral for multilingual diverse audiences is desired.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS





EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Bachelors Degree in healthcare, business administration or related field, with 3-5 years equivalent experience. Project management certification or Master's Degree in healthcare, business administration or related field is preferred.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

-- 3-5 years project management experience in a marketing or communications role;

-- Developing, trafficking, and ensuring consistency of written materials and adherence to organizational policy and branding guidelines;

-- Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint;

-- Strong organizational, interpersonal, project management skills;

-- Strong written & verbal communication skills;

-- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail and accuracy, while working independently or as part of a team;

-- Proven ability to handle a high volume workload and multi tasking projects;

-- Familiarity coordinating with graphics designer and printers;

-- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

-- Background working with healthcare providers;

-- Familiarity with print production.

 

FOREIGN LANGUAGES:

Preferred:

Bilingual in one of L.A. Care's threshold languages.
