         JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

 

The Marketing Director is responsible for management and execution of the organization’s marketing, communications, product development, Web site and graphic design projects including support provided to the Client Services, Clinical, Fulfillment and Sales Departments, as well as the senior management team.  Primary areas of responsibility include but are not limited to conference planning, advertising, management of public relations projects and vendors, support development of annual reports and press releases, and development and monitoring of the department’s budget, goals and objectives and policies and procedures.  As Marketing Director, this position also has oversight responsibility over the company’s marketing, communications, product development, Web site and graphic design teams.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

 

· Direct conference and tradeshow planning process including tracking conference registration and reservation needs; creating strategies to strengthen presence; coordinating participation in support of strategies; researching presentation and speaking opportunities; coordinating orders for giveaways and other conference literature; measure success of participation in events; and external trade relationships as appropriate.

 

· Assess advertising opportunities, development of ads and measure outcomes.

 

· Manage relationship with public relations firm(s) and handle other public relations projects as needed, including the development oversight of annual reports and press releases.

 

· Oversee marketing, communications, product development, Web site and graphic design teams and related projects.

 

· Identify needs and manage development of internal and external newsletters.

 

· Manage internal and external graphic design resources through the evaluation of cost, effectiveness and brand image.

 

· Develop and monitor Marketing department goals and objectives and provide status updates and ongoing refinements.

 

· Develop and monitor adherence to Marketing department policies and procedures.

 

· Participate in client and prospect meetings as necessary to represent the Marketing department’s capabilities.

 

· Interacts with other departments as needed to stay informed and to provide marketing management and support.

 

· Performs other duties as assigned to meet corporate objectives.

 

· Exhibits compliant and ethical behavior in the performance of job responsibilities, including complying with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, HealthExtras Code of Conduct, Business Ethics Policies and Procedures and other policies and procedures applicable to position.  Actively participates in HealthExtras Compliance and Ethics Program, including attending annual compliance and ethics training and reporting suspected violations of the law or HealthExtras policies and procedures via HealthExtras Procedures for Reporting Incidents of Possible Improper Employment Practices, Misconduct, or Improper Financial/Accounting Practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of seven (7) years marketing experience within a related industry.  Pharmacy industry / healthcare experience strongly preferred.  Must be creative, have attention to detail, demonstrated excellence in management, business writing, and strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and project management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
