Material Reprocessing Technician

We are currently seeking a Material Reprocessing Technician.  Responsibilities:·  Safeguard and preserve the confidentiality of patient’s protected health information in accordance with State and Federal (HIPAA) regulatory requirements, hospital and departmental policies·  Ensure a safe patient environment and adherence to safety practices per policy·  With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of patient/significant other when administering care· Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize and distribute all reusable supplies and equipment as received from patient care areas daily, following departmental policy and procedures· AM shift every other weekend  Experience: ·  High school graduate/GED·  One year experience in hospital Central Service or sterile processing area, preferred·  Basic MS Windows and mouse experience, preferred We offer competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package. Please submit your resume with salary history to Letty Hernandez at recruitment@pih.net or via fax 562-944-6854. EOE.
