Materials Manager – Kentfield Rehab and Specialty Hospital

 

Kentfield Rehabilitation & Specialty Hospital, a Vibra Healthcare Hospital, is a 60 bed long term acute care hospital (LTACH), specializing in medically complex patients requiring extended hospitalization.  Kentfield is located in beautiful Marin County, just 10 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and ideal place to call home or an easy commute from the East Bay or San Francisco. 

 

Materials Manager is responsible for purchasing supplies, equipment, and services from suppliers who offer a quality product or service at a competitive price.  The Materials Manager is also responsible for maintaining inventory levels necessary for patient care and an efficient facility operation.  This position is required to use independent discretion and judgment with respect to supervisory decisions and recommendations. 

 

Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of high school graduate, college degree preferred.  Also requires two years of relevant work experience, or equivalent, in an area of purchasing while holding responsible duties as well as knowledge of inventory controls.  Must be able to analyze proposals of goods and services, assess their reasonable value, and negotiate a reasonable price with the vendor. Physical requirements include moderate work including lifting of 15# - 30#s Computer skills required.
