Med/ Surg Registered Nurse

Med/Surg RN position in Pampa, Texas Position Summary:To accept the responsibility to plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the assigned unit in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care; to ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care maintaining compliance with JCAHO standards.  Act as charge nurse for your shift when needed.  Supervise LVN, CNA and unit secretary staff.  Qualifications:  Licensure/Certification/Registration/Competence:RN, current in the State of Texas.  BLS (must have current BLS before you can be released to work independently, must be paired with BLS certified nurse during orientation period)  Experience Preferred:Prefer 2-3 years hospital experience caring for multi age census populations including pediatrics, orthopedic, general surgery and medical patients.  Post-op care and experience preferred. Ability to prioritize nursing tasks utilizing critical thinking process in a timely manner.
