THE DEPARTMENT AND IT’S SUPPORT This high profile Nursing Director will be responsible for all staffing and day-to-day operations of a large & very busy Med/Surg Service Line of 10 Units. This Director will participate in the establishment of policies, procedures and work processes, integrated clinical, financial, psychosocial and ethics functions into daily work to ensure the delivery of best practices and standards of departmental performance. The position will collaborate with Administration, Quality Management, Nursing, Finance, Ancillary Services, Ethics, ED Leadership, Operations Analysis, Corporate Compliance, Health Information Management, etc. Position reports directly to Chief Nursing Officer. QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management or related healthcare field required, Master’s degree is required. Experience: A minimum of 5 years clinical experience; 5 to 10+ years current or recent director level experience in Med/Surg nurse management in an acute care setting. Licensure: Michigan RN licensure; applicable certifications highly desired!
