Purpose:
To process all incoming microbiology specimens and to perform and interpret low complexity tests to be used for prediction and diagnosis of disease to ensure provision of high quality patient care.

Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of hospital laboratory operations. 

 Ability to operate a PC and use multi-constituent clinical laboratory analyzers, blood culture instruments, microscopes and other laboratory equipment.

 

Formal Education, License and Experience: Some undergraduate college course work in a science curriculum

 Two (2) or more years of experience working in a clinical laboratory under the direction of a qualified director.
