Position Requirements 

Marina Medical Billing has a number of different positions at various times.  The following is a brief list of the titles and basic job functions. Some positions are open currently, and some are listed for future expansions. 

Office Clerical- FT only.  Regular shift M-F 8:00-4:30 (we occasionally have openings at 6:00-2:30 and 7:00-3:30, but these are rare).  This is the entry level position of Marina.  We want computer saavy individuals who are highly self motivated, and wish to advance in the medical billing field.

Insurance Coder - FT only.  Regular shift  M-F 8:00-4:30.  This position requires 40+ wpm typing, a high level of computer proficiency, and experience with medical insurances and insurance verification (a medical billing certificate is a plus).

Medical Claims Entry (Data Entry)-FT only.  Regular shift  M-F 8:00-4:30.  This position requires 45+ wpm typing, very fast 10-Key skills, a high level of computer proficiency. Experience with medical insurances, medical data entry and/or a medical billing certificate is a plus.

Accounts Receivable (Payment Posting)-FT only.  Regular shift  M-F 8:00-4:30.  This position requires 45+ wpm typing, very fast 10-Key skills, a high level of computer proficiency ( Basic MS Excel skills are required). Experience with medical payment posting is required.  A qualified poster must be able to read EOB's and problem solve independantly (when needed). Experience with medical insurances, medical data entry and/or a medical billing certificate is a plus.

Medical Administrative Assistant-FT only.  Regular shift  M-F 8:00-4:30.  Meidical field experience is a plus.  Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and computer skills are required.

Qualified candidates:

-Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED

-Must be able to problem solve

-Must be able to multi-task

-Must have excellent knowledge of basic computer systems (Word/ Excel) 

-Must be able to type at least 35 WPM (more may be required per position)

-Medical billing certification and/or medical field experience is a plus

-Excellent communication skills are REQUIRED for all positions

-AS400 knowledge is a plus 

Verifications will include eligibility to work in the U.S., background check including criminal background check, credit check, and valid social security number and other I.D.
