NOTE: THESE ARE HOURLY WAGE POSITIONS.

We are in current need of full-time Medical Laboratory Personnel having a minimum of 3 – 5 years in medical billing experience and a minimum of 2 – 3 years in phlebotomy experience & certified (must have very solid experience in both disciplines).  For the right candidate, part-time could be available.  To qualify for a part-time position, the experience requirements for at least one of these disciplines must be met & the candidate must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week. 

As the Lab is fast paced & dynamic, the ideal candidate for these positions must have the ability to perform at a professional level in either discipline and be able to easily switch between them.  He or she will have experience in the coding and electronic billing of Laboratory Medicare and Insurance Claims, as well as the ability to work well with people in the front office (in person & over the phone).  He or she must be very responsible & very dependable.  The ideal candidate will appreciate our friendly, family type work atmosphere in which we depend upon one another for the successful operation of the Lab.  He or she has longevity and the future in mind.

About the Lab:

Located in Houston’s Texas Medical Center, we are an independent medical laboratory offering clinical laboratory testing throughout the Greater Houston Area. Established in 1986, the Lab is accredited by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services under the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) / CLIA 1967 & 1988. The Lab actively participates in API proficiency testing programs to meet accreditation standards and quality assurance as required by CLIA and recognized by the Joint Commission.

General testing services include various chemical, hematology and therapeutic test profiles, microbiology cultures, urine drug screens, routine urine analysis and HIV screens. While our services are often used by independent physicians for out-patient diagnosis, the Lab primarily contracts its lab services to psychiatric, rehabilitation and sub-specialty hospitals, nursing homes and home health care facilities approved by JCAH.
