Medical Coding/Billing Specialist

ACOM Solutions, Healthcare Division is seeking a qualified Medical Coder/Billing Specialist with exceptional communication skills, the ability to handle multiple projects, answering multiline telephone system, proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and has previous Credentialing experience. 

This position is responsible for:Must have 3-5 years Coding and Billing experience in the physicians office and Billing Office setting. Coding and/or Billing Certification is a plus. Proofing and entering CPT and ICD9 codes submitted by the providers office. Submitting claims via H1500 (including attachments) and electronic.  Responsible for creating new patient accounts and updating existing accounts. Follow up with insurance companies for payment or denial and send appeals for additional payment if necessary. Working knowledge of insurance guidelines and policies (to include, but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Comp, Person Injury Laws). Working knowledge of HIPPA and OIG Compliance; diligently follows policy changes with insurance companies and CMS.
