Medical Operator

Children's Heart Center is currently hiring a Medical Operator for our Main Office in Las Vegas, NV:Job SummaryAnswer all incoming calls and perform necessary routing or messaging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

§  Retrieve phones from service no later than 8:25 a.m.

§  Answer and properly route calls according to protocol.

§  Retrieve appropriate data from callers and inform physicians and staff on incoming telephone calls.

§  Direct messages to physicians and staff via paging, voice mail and written messages according to protocol.

§  Forward telephones to the answering service everyday just before 5:00 p.m.  Check to make sure telephones were forwarded properly.

§  Deliver messages faxed over in the mornings from the answering service via e-mail, voice mail and written messages.

§  Transfer all Appointment calls on a rotating basis to the Appointment Schedulers.

§  Assist patient, physicians and staff with Spanish Translating.

§  Assist Schedulers and Receptionists as requested by Supervisor.

§  Deliver messages faxed over in the mornings from the answering service via e-mail, voice mail and written messages.

§  Other duties as assigned.



Qualification Requirements/Experience

Minimum six months experience in healthcare with experience handling multi-line telephone systems.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Bi-lingual English / Spanish preferred. Must be computer literate. Must have excellent phone skills and etiquette, detail oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a quick learner.


Education

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. AA degree in Administration, Business or the Medical Field preferred.
