Job Description:

 

The Assistant DME Coordinator provides on-site management of the OrthoRx Medication Dispensing program and Cash Program for contracted client.  Under the direct supervision and orders of the physicians, dispense prescribed generic medication to patients, dispense and manage inventory of the Cash Program products, and collect payment on behalf of the practice at the time of service.  Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, physicians, and all practice employees.  This employee will also be cross-trained on all aspects of the OrthoRx Orthopedic DME program to assist the lead DME Coordinator with high patient volumes and days off.  Meet performance goals of both OrthoRx, Inc. and the client.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

·  Minimum two years related medical experience required. 

· Experience with medication dispensing, or fitting DME products, or working in an orthopedic practice is preferred. 

· Certified Athletic Trainer, Orthopedic Technician, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or comparable professional medical certification a plus. 

·  Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

 

 

Specific Skills:

 

OrthoRx is seeking an individual with a professional image, technical product and clinical competency, computer literacy including MS Office, an orientation to detail and organization, excellent verbal and written communication skills, medical terminology and anatomy knowledge, general understanding of insurance and compliance, the ability to handle multiple priorities, exceptional customer service skills, ability to work independently, good judgment and decision making skills, ability to motivate, manage, and develop personnel.  Hepatitis B immunization recommended; dormant or negative TB Test.
