A full-service medical communications company in Schaumburg, Illinois (metro Chicago area), has an immediate need for a full-time,  Medical Proofreader/Copy Editor at their San Diego Office. We are seeking a highly organized and talented editorial professional for this challenging position. The successful candidate must work well independently, efficiently producing quality work while adhering to a strict priority schedule in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based office environment. ResponsibilitiesProofread, copyedit, and substantively edit, at all stages of development: manuscripts, posters, slide kits, newsletters, CME materials, meeting planning materials, and other editorial documents

 

RequirementsA minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the health or life sciences; experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or BELS certification a plus 1+ years of medical proofreading/editing experience Detailed knowledge of AMA style and the ability to apply in-house and client-specific styles Ability to fully understand content at the peer-reviewed medical journal level Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Internet research
