Seeking Experienced Rehab Coder for a new rehabilitation hospital in Richardson, TX.

Job Description

This position requires a credentialed coder who assigns ICD-9 codes to diagnoses and procedures and abstracts codes and patient data for entry into computer systems. The qualified candidate must be able to analyze, enter, and manipulate data for accurate DRG assignments. The position duties and responsibilities include: Review of medical records to verify that the diagnostic and procedural coding practices are consistent with established coding rules and regulations on a concurrent basis. Ensures the maintenance of data integrity and security of the medical records. Reporting of statistical data relating to DRGs on a consistent basis.

Required Qualifications CCS certification Knowledge of ICD-9 coding guidelines and DRG assignment
