Medical Staff Assistant

**Requires Current Credentialing Experience**

This position provides or supports service to internal/external customers. Under the general direction of the Manager, Medical Staff Services and in close collaboration with the Medical Staff Coordinator, with moderate latitude for independent decision making, processes medical staff appointments, applications and other activities. This position prepares agendas and related materials for medical staff meetings, peer review activities, credentialing, attends Medical Staff meetings and provides accurate minutes.

Associates degree in business or related field with two year experience as Medical Staff Assistant in a Medical Staff office; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Requires proficiency in computer systems including word processing, transcription, minute-taking in Medical Staff department and/or committee meetings, working with doctors. Ability to communicate sufficiently to perform duties in a manner consistent with departmental scope of services and standards.
